Complete Randomness...

Well, I haven't posted in a while, so I just went through some of my pictures and picked out some recent stuff..It's all random, but hey, it gives you something to look at right? :-)

Ok, first, here is me and my boy!

Mike was working on getting some of his tools together and
Alex just hopped on his shoulders and started messin' with him! (I know, Mike looks a little freaky, but that's the best part of the picture! HaHa)

This one was taken on Saturday while we were setting up for service. ReRe kissed him on his "doorhead" and he had no idea she had lipstick on...

We were in Walmart the other night, and I had Alex put this hat on...So fitting for Nashville right? :-)

Ok, now I'm sorry Sheri and Ashley, but I just couldn't resist...To me, it's just too funny not to share...We were at the scrapbook store last week because they were having what they called a yardsale, they had people bring in some of their stuff to sale, anyway, I caught Sheri and Ashley "in the act", the funniest part to me was when Sheri saw me recording, just the look on her face makes me laugh!

So there's just some random stuff. I'm sure I'll have something fun coming up! ;-)

4th of July!!

Well, yesterday was the 4th and boy did we have us some good ol' southern fun! We spent the day with Rick's parents at their house. It is so relaxing over there. I love it.
Ok, so I unfortunately didn't get any really good pictures of any fireworks or anything, but I did get some funny videos! So, watch these and enjoy!

Ok, this one, Mike was holding a firecracker and counting before he let it go. LOL...And then, a bug flew in my hair and I completely freaked out...

Pretty funny? I thought so. :-)

Ok, this one, is just funny. I like how Travis is explaining what the firework does..."It shoot up in the air and go POP." HaHa..Love you Travis, you're so funny! None of us knew what it was going to do, so when it flew up in the air and well, POPPED, it scared the crap out of us! If you go onto Travis and Ashley's blog, you'll see some more funny videos of this! :-)

This is what we can do in Tennessee....We can actually buy fireworks that go up in the air! That was a big deal to us! :-)

Ok, this one is kinda stupid, but I think it's funny. Donnie (Rick's dad) saw a bug crawling on me and didn't even tell me! He told Sheri, I just happened to overhear! Ok, and then at the end, I caught myself snorting while I was laughing!

Now this one is funny too! Mike as you know is the biggest kid! He was having WAY too much fun with those stupid little firecrackers that just make a loud noise and that's it! Watch what he does to Travis.

Ok, and this is the last one....My husband, got him some sparklers, and was dancing like a little fairy. HaHa...Then he just had to scare me. UhHuh. That's my husband. LOL.

Alex's Favorite Past Time....

Alex absolutely LOVES the swimming pool! He really is doing good practicing swimming...Although, you take off his floaties, and he completely freaks out! I took them off and made him swim! I know, mean mommy, but he has to learn sometime right? LOL. He did really good, I didn't overdue it so I think the next time I take them off, he might not freak out as much. Hopefully, because he gets REALLY loud! :-) Anyway, here are some pictures of, well, just him!

I like that he loves the pool because I love the water too! And it gives me the opportunity to get some color on my white skin! :-)

The Freaks Come Out at Night!

So, we went to the lake AGAIN, I know, I think we are really enjoying ourselves here! Well, this time, we went solely to fish, so we went to the fishing spot we found the last time we went to the lake. We stayed there till well after dark, and let me tell you, the "freaks" really do come out at night! Right as it was starting to get dark, we saw the biggest bird ever!! It stood about 3 1/2-4 feet tall! And the noise that thing made when it started flying was loud and very creepy! Out in the distance, we heard some really freaky noises too! It kinda sounded like a big ol' bear! Or like some type of a mating call or something, I don't know what it was, but whatever it was it was a very large creature! Ok, so after that, the fireflies started coming out, and yes, even those things are freaks, I mean come on, their butts light up! LOL. Then, the noises started! Ohhhhh the noises!!! Here's a little tidbit of what we hear out on the lake....

Ok, so what really did it for us, was as we were getting our stuff together to leave, a GINORMOUS spider crawled up from under the deck!! After that, I was done, I was ready to go home! To top it all off, as we were walking back to the car, we were walking through freshly made spider webs!! YUK!!!

An Evening at the Lake...

Yep, another evening at the lake! We had a good time. After driving around for an hour and a half, we finally just stopped off at a park off the lake and Alex and I swam for a little bit, and Mike played with Missy. She loves the water! Then, we went to a fishing hole so Mike could fish (although, Alex did the fishing this time!)

Here's a cool shot that Mike took. There were a bunch of sailboats on the lake...It was a pretty awesome sight!

Alex swimming..He use to be so scared of the water, but now, look at how good he does!

Ok, now for the high"light" of my night!!.....

Of course.....The Lightning Bugs!! (aka Fireflies)

Ok, so walking back to the truck from the fishing spot, they were all over the place! It was dusk so it was still a little light out, so I was able to stand in one spot and the firefly would stay in one spot...This was the best picture I could get. I can't take the picture with the flash on, so all you can see is the butt end of it. I know, it may be kinda weird, me all "obsessive" over these things, but I'm serious, everytime I see one, it makes me smile!

So, there you have it. LOL.

WOW...What a Day!!

Well, yesterday was like one of the best days we've had in a long long time!!!




First, we were on our way to church, it was a little bit foggy, but here, the fog, is actually pretty!








If you look between the trees, you can see some white things, well, it's like a miniature cemetary. It's just a little bit eerie.


Church service was awesome! I know in the main service, it was great! And in the children's, well, it was so much fun! God is really bringing increase! One question though...Where's all the little girls? We had nothing but VERY active little boys!! It was a lot of fun though and we are starting to come up with some fun ideas! I love it! God is SO good!

After church, we went out to eat at O'Charleys...I think that it was my favorite eat out place ever! We had the best waiter, he was absolutely hilarious! Come to find out as we were leaving, he was actually featured in a newspaper article as the nicest guy in Bellevue...He truly earned that title! We had so much fun there!

Afterwards, we went home and Mike was putting all of his fishing stuff away that he got for Father's Day and he was talking about going to get our fishing licenses and just go fishing. Well, I had already gotten a gift card for him to get his fishing license and I was going to give it to him tonight as his birthday present, but I just ended up giving it to him last night. So, we just got up and went on a spontaneous fishing trip! It was about 7pm before we actually got to a good spot!










He did actually catch something!!....It was big ol' stick!









Missy was having a blast too! She's never really swam a lot before, she was loving it!

It was the best day! We had so much fun at the lake! While Mike was fishing, Alex and I just played in the water! It was great!

On our way home, we had to pull over because on both sides of the road, were tons and tons of fireflies!! It was the most beautiful thing! We were out in the country so there were a lot of them! A fabulous way to end the day!! I tried to get pictures, but all you can see was little blue specks, I even tried to take a video, but it was too dark. I'll get it one of these days!

Happy Father's Day Mike! You are the best daddy to our little guy Alex! I honestly couldn't ask for a better father for my son! I love you and I hope you enjoy your day!!

Happy Father's Day to Jeff too!! I love you so much and miss you soooooo much!! I think this is the first Father's Day that I've been apart from you and that's not easy for me! I love you so much and I am so glad that you are in my life!!

Happy Father's Day to Rick!...You have been the BEST spiritual father to Mike and I. We love and appreciate you so much!! We are so glad that we were called to be here with you! We love you! Happy Father's Day!

And Happy Father's Day to all the other Dad's! Hope you enjoy your day too!

Today Is Somebody's Birthday!!

Yep, that's right! It's Mikey's Birthday today! He's 29!!! Wow, one more year and he'll be 30!! Happy Birthday Babe!! I love you!!

Two Men and a Lady

I absolutely LOVE the 2 men in my life! I thank God that I was blessed with them!

I love to watch the two of them...They are so alike in so many ways!

CMA MUSIC FESTIVAL

So, after service yesterday, a couple that comes to our church went to Rick and Sheri and blessed them with 4 tickets to the CMA Music Festival! We in turn were blessed with 2 of those tickets! So we went and enjoyed ourselves!

The CMA Music Festival is an annual event

here in Nashville. It lasts for 4 days and

various country stars come and perform.

It is held in the LP Field. The Titans Stadium.

It was the only event in the nation that did

4 fly overs. It was really really cool!

The actual line up was: Chuck Wicks, John Stephan, James Otto, Bucky Covington, Randy Travis, Sara Evans, Phil Stacey, Billy Ray Cyrus and the "surprise" guest was Dwight Yoakam.

We had so much fun with Travis and Ashley! I believe it's going to be airing on ABC on Monday September 8th @ 9/8c (7 o'clock pm for you Californians!)

We are looking forward to it next year! We will definitely be checking into getting passes for all 4 days! It will be so worth it!

It's The Little Things...

Yes, it's the little things in life that makes us happy!

So, here's the thing that made me happy recently....

Yes, that's right, it's a bug! BUT it's no ordinary bug! It's a LIGHTNING BUG!

I've been waiting to see one of these since I got here! I know, it's not lit up, but it's actually really hard to take a picture of these quick little boogers. They flash so fast! Mike actually caught this one in the front of our house and let it loose in the house! Weirdo. LOL. I love watching them outside though!

He was SOOOO excited when we got this stuff! He kept saying thank you to us and telling us how much he loved us and was hugging our legs like crazy! People were actually turning around looking at us because of how excited he was! It was so cute! We are still going to be getting him some more stuff to finish up his room, but this will do for now!

Just a Hello!

Hello!
Well, things are great here! We had our 3rd service yesterday and man was it POWERFUL! Things changed in the spiritual realm yesterday I truly believe that! It was awesome!
As far as us, well, we are all doing great! Mike is still loving his job (he's getting pretty buff too!), Angela keeps our house absolutely spotless! (hahaha!), and Alex, well, that little guy is just growing WAY WAY WAY too fast! We see it and we are with him all the time!
